Our Story - The Mod570

Mod570, founded in 2019 by music artist/entrepreneur Arden B (also known as Thomas Burnell) embodies the modern creator. After graduating college from Lock Haven University at the Stephen Poorman College of Business, Arden decided to start work on his own business ideas. Experimenting with producing his own music while working full time at Bald Eagle Beer Store, he was kept busy with work. 

Early on, Arden surrounded himself with like-minded driven people who wanted success. Reaching out to successful people and learning from mentors played a big role in getting to where he is at today. This set him on a path to create what is now known as Mod570. Business consultations, late night meetings, traveling for photoshoots and making connections within the music industry helped refine his vision. 

 

The idea came to life in early 2019 before he released his first EP Lottery Ticket. Putting the music on hold, he has been working diligently for the past year on creating and designing a clothing brand for his hometown and beyond.

Arden wanted to create a clothing brand that not only offered unique style and originality, but also provide a community of its own to help people find their vision. Therefore, he created the 570 Blog. Industry storytelling for business, music, entertainment and more with an emphasis on showcasing Lock Haven businesses. 

Moving to Philadelphia, PA to pursue a new career in tech recruitment - Arden found opportunities to grow in his music endeavors alongside the growth of Mod570. He made connections with several music industry professionals throughout 2020-2023 such as DJ Rello, Lil Skies and even branching out to Houston, Texas with his friend Kenneth Grant who introduced him to Jas Prince of YEMG (son of Rap-A-Lot record label owner and respected hip-hop figure James Prince).

 

On top of the blog, Mod570 creates comfort-wear clothing representing the community. Not only a clothing brand, but a lifestyle that anyone can be a part of. When you purchase and support our clothing - you are investing into a brand and community of people that give back to the world through donating to charity, shining light on small businesses and inspiring the youth to be their creative self in life.
