Producing with Prxsm
Prxsm and Motivation
These past couple of years have been busy to say the least. Especially with the ongoing state of the world. However, the music industry and creatives that we feature are still busy working endless hours to deliver their passion and art to the world.
We started bridging the gap by connecting independent artists to the industry. Words of manifestation before our eyes coming true with our recent partnership with Forever Alive Records; Artist Network Groups. A place where creatives can share each others work and engage with one another to help boost their exposure on the application.
Now we're working towards the next piece of the puzzle. Our latest blog is a short interview with upcoming producer/artist Prxsm, one of the artists we brought into the artist network groups on Instagram. Let's dig into Prxsm's interview.
Introducing Prxsm
Who are you and where are you from?
~ My name is Prxsm. I'm a 25 year old artist/producer from Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Why and when did you start?
~ I have been an all-around artist since elementary school. I used music as a coping mechanism when times were at their darkest. I started with playing piano, violin, flute, brass, percussion, and guitar all the way up until high school.
What is your dream and how long have you been working towards it? What key factors played into building this?
~ It’s always been a dream of mine to be an artist. Whether it’d be music, photography, or video production, I’ve always had the urge to just create. Growing up, I wanted to be a gaming YouTuber. I made my first channel in 2007 making gaming montages and edits. That then turned into a visual effects and graphic design tutorial channel that became successful, raking in around $200 a month. When the gaming community started to slow down, it became harder for me to pursue digital art. In 2017, I finally decided to pursue music full time.
If you had one thing you know now that you wish you knew when you started chasing your dreams, what would that be?
~ One thing I wish I knew when I started was that consistency and relationships really do go a long way in the community. Most of the people I’ve worked with in the past bought beat leases from me years ago and are still linking up to this very day and have returned the favor by referencing me to other artists to connect with. It’s a win-win in my opinion.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
~ Within 5 years, I plan on moving to Florida and building a producer collective house.
What else do you want to endeavor on?
~ I’d still like to continue to work on improving my physical and mental health, taking some time away from music to enjoy life, friends and family every once in a while.

Who/what inspires you?
As much as I try to be a role model myself, I’d have to say that my biggest inspiration is my grandmother. Her positivity and amazing work ethic is why I do what I do. She always encouraged me to never let my foot off the gas because there’s always going to be someone waiting for me to fail.
“Prxsm is an American music producer and songwriter from Maryland. His dark and gritty style is heavily influenced by Toronto producers Wondagurl and Eestbound. Known for reproducing popular and underrated songs, he has also associated acts with artists and producers such as Jay Cornell, Kyle Stemberger, and various members from the collective, Internet Money.”
Remember to wake up every day with a purpose. Use your mind to take control of your life and take action on your ideas. Use affirmations every day, learn to meditate and choose to be the person you would want someone else to look up to. Be the hero in your life.
